Finally, the Taipei rain gods gave me a break! I didn’t have a set plan—just wanted to wander and see where the night took me. Honestly, hitting Ximending on a weekday is a total mood. Without the massive weekend crowds and with that perfect, crisp breeze, it was actually… dare I say, relaxing? 😌
I got lucky and finally tracked down that legendary graffiti wall over on American Street. It’s definitely a must-see if you’re into street art.
I also took a stroll through the Wannian Building. Back in the day, it always felt like the ultimate “edgy teen” hangout, but the vibe has definitely shifted lately. It feels a bit different now—maybe a little more modern—though I do miss that raw, old-school grit just a tiny bit.
