It’s set in a gorgeous old house with that perfect Japanese aesthetic and even has a cute little garden. It’s got two floors and some private rooms if you’re looking for a more intimate setting.
The menu is absolutely massive. There were three of us, and we ended up ordering over 10 dishes because everything just looked way too good to pass up.
The MVP of the night? Definitely the **thick-cut beef tongue**. It was incredible. Coming in at a close second were the **scallion salt beef short ribs** and the **Japanese yam chicken pot**—pure soul food.
Honestly, every single dish was a hit. The skewers were grilled to perfection, and it’s been a minute since I’ve been to an Izakaya where literally nothing was a “skip.” Total happiness in every bite!
If you’re ever in Taichung, you HAVE to add this spot to your list. I’m definitely coming back for round two.
