Forget the Tourist Traps: Why Ruifeng is Kaohsiung’s Ultimate Local Foodie Heaven

If you want to experience Kaohsiung like a total local, you have to hit up Ruifeng Night Market. It’s easily the most hyped and authentic spot in the city. The “Angel Fried Chicken” is a non-negotiable—you absolutely have to try it! We also went on a massive food crawl and grabbed scallion pancakes, grilled clams, takoyaki, and those juicy pan-fried buns. Everything was a 10/10 and hit the spot. The only shocker? The HK-style curry fish balls were a bit of a splurge at NT$25 for just three pieces! 😆 But hey, for vibes this good, I’m not complaining.
