2025 Tongluo Chrysanthemum Festival Deets!
This year, they’re leveling up the game by blending three incredible things into one unforgettable event: the stunning chrysanthemum fields, an authentic Hakka banquet experience, and a peek into transparent food safety education. It’s not just about snapping pics of flowers (though you’ll get plenty of those!). This is a full-on cultural journey, taking you straight from the farm to your fork. Seriously, how cool is that? It all goes down November 15th-16th in Changshu Village, Tongluo Township.
- When to go: November 15th – 16th, 2025
- Where the magic happens: The main venue for the 2025 Tongluo Chrysanthemum Festival in Changshu Village, Tongluo Township, Miaoli County. (Just Google Map it, folks!)

Getting There: Your Transportation Guide
Okay, let’s talk logistics. Getting there is a breeze, whether you’re rolling solo or joining the eco-conscious crowd.
Shuttle Bus Info (Go Green!)
The festival has teamed up with Taiwan Railways (TRA) for a super cool “Rail + Flower Field” low-carbon travel route. From November 15th to 16th, just hop on a train to Tongluo Train Station. Once you’re there, shuttle buses will be waiting right outside the station, whisking you straight to the main event! They run every 15 minutes from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. (Heads up: the final schedule and routes will be posted on their official fan page/website closer to the date, so keep an eye out!)
Driving Yourself? No Sweat!
If you’re hitting the road, take National Freeway 1 (Freeway No. 1) to the Tongluo Interchange. Then, connect to Provincial Highway 13 Outer Ring Road. From there, make a left at Jiuhu Bridge onto Shuifang Road, or take a right at Tongke South Road Bridge onto Miaoli County Highway 38-2 to reach the festival grounds. (Just a heads-up: traffic control will be in effect during the festival, so plan accordingly!)
Tongluo Chrysanthemum Flower Viewing Routes
Tongluo is seriously blessed with chrysanthemums, boasting over a hundred flower fields spread across more than 30 hectares! These beauties are mainly clustered around Jiuhu Village (where the Chrysanthemum & Taro Festival main venue usually is), Chaoyang Village (around the train station), Changshu Village (near Wenfeng Elementary School and along Provincial Highway 13), and Zhongping Village (the main taro growing area). So many options, so little time!
- Behind Tongluo Train Station: Take the underpass from the front of the station to the path behind it, then stroll south towards Jiuhu Estuary. Perfect for a leisurely walk!
- Jiuhu Village’s Shuifang Road Fields: Just navigate to “Qiumei Ren Farm” – you can’t miss the fields lining the road!
- Jiuhu Village’s Miaoli County Highway 38 Fields: Punch “Jiuhu Leisure Farm” into your GPS, and you’re golden.
- Changshu Village Fields (near Wenfeng Elementary School): The area around the school is just bursting with blooms.
- Changshu Village Fields (along Provincial Highway 13): Pro tip: Enter from the road opposite Rongle Toothbrush Tourism Factory and head north along the small path towards Jiuhu Estuary. This spot is prime for catching those iconic shots of trains chugging through the flower fields! Choo-choo, gorgeous views!
