Influencers love it too for photo ops. It’s become Darya’s biggest annual bash! This year, Hungkuang University’s design students created the main art installation. It’s a winding dragon shape. It looks like it’s playing in the wheat waves. In Eastern culture, dragons mean good luck. They symbolize success and good fortune. This art piece hopes for thriving agriculture. Directions: Take National Freeway 1. Exit at Darya Interchange. Follow Zhongqing Road Sec. 3 / Provincial Highway 1B. Head towards Yaruan Road Sec. 3 in Darya. You’ll reach the plaza in front of Baoxing Temple.

Pedal Through the Tan-Ya-Shen Green Bikeway

Got extra time? Plan a cycling trip on the Tan-Ya-Shen Green Bikeway. This dedicated bike path stretches for about 13.1 kilometers. It winds through Tanzi, Fengyuan, Shengang, and Darya. Along the way, you’ll ride through lush green tunnels. The S-curve and wave-like sections are super popular for photos. Recently, they’ve been busy upgrading the bikeway. They finished pedestrian bridges like Bilu Bridge and Gongfen Bridge. Plus, new pathways and related facilities. This January, three more pedestrian path sections were completed. They also updated the 12.5K scenic bridge. The railings have cool designs. They create awesome light and shadow effects. At night, special lighting gives it a unique, fashionable vibe. It’s definitely a sight to behold!

Directions: From Taichung Train Station, take bus route 12 or 65. Get off at the “Tan-Ya-Shen Green Bikeway” stop.

Tank Park: A Touch of Military History

At the end of the Green Bikeway, you’ll find “Tank Park.” It features an M48A3 tank. This spot is a hit with cyclists for photos! It’s rich in military history and culture. The Tan-Ya-Shen Green Bikeway 11.5K Tank Park got a major revamp. They improved the flow, lighting, and theme. It keeps its old platform charm. They also added a rail forest path. There’s a dedicated bike lane and cool tank-themed installations. The whole space got a green makeover. It’s now a charming military-themed park. It’s perfect for a unique rest stop!

Directions: Take Fengyuan Bus or Kuo-Kuang Bus. Get off at Tanzi Export Processing Zone. Tank Park is at the end of the Tan-Ya-Shen Bikeway.
